Hey! Santa will be here soon, so don’t be looking so glum…… he can see you under that mask…
It’s been a tough year, I know, but we still have a lot to be happy and thankful about!
NO:
- Burning your fingers on hot glue
- Finding evergreen needles in places they should never be found
- Trying to dislodge all that sap on your fingers and jeans
- Sign-up sheets
- Getting up before the sun to rush out to the cold Workshop
- Driving on icy roads in the early morning and late afternoon
- Saving all that cardboard
- Setup or cleanup of the workshop
- Hauling all those boxes of baubles and trim back and forth
- Locating and cutting extra greens
- Stuffing greens in wreaths
- Selling wreaths or meeting last years’ quotas
- Lugging heavy bundles of 8 wreaths from the trailer
- Taking home uneaten leftovers
- INVENTORY
- Overeating all those yummy soups and goodies
- Delivering gorgeous, decorated wreaths to smiling customers
Or was the best part:
- Meeting friends at the workshop
- Singing carols while we worked
- Who could be first to get a hot glue burn
- Who finished the first wreath
- Cheering when the last wreath was completed
- Champagne toasts
- Cheery welcomes to each member as they arrived
- HUGS - remember those?
- Club gossip - always the good kind
- Tasting yummy soups and homemade goodies
- Renewing friendships and making new
- Going home exhausted but oh so happy
There are so many fond memories of our days together creating wreaths and making all those memories.
Memories:
- The Club started out with chicken wire forms they made by hand!
- Forming the ring to make the wreaths
- Spent hours and many cramped fingers and hands actually STUFFING greens into that ring of chicken wire! Oh My!
- Discovering they could buy ready-made wreaths out of town, WOW! Do you remember who that was?
- Starting with just 150 wreaths, it “bloomed” from there
- Creating wreaths in Lou’s grand Greenhouse in the cold with frozen water pipes and fingers
- Storing the wreaths in the Barn where Lou’s pet goats ate them
- Mr. Snakey! Slithering about and making us jump
- Audreen and Sally taking that wild ride in the back of the runaway wreath trailer
Ah what fun we’ve had,……Haven’t we? I’m sure you remember lots more.

The Wreath below was made by Mary Jacoby from our undecorated wreaths to be put on our beloved Gertie Rohrbach's grave. We miss our chariest 103 year old member that we lost last year.

To Our Loyal Wreath Buyers,
We had a relatively successful undecorated wreath sale with 120 wreaths picked up by our members and some ambitious buyers that wanted to decorate their own wreaths.
Be ready for next year when we can get our creative sides pumped up again and provide wreaths to our loyal buyers.
Merry Christmas and A Happier New Year to you all.
Sincerely,
PAGC MEMBERS
